  1. Michael,

I edit a few blogs – one of them about WordPress (http://wordpressblue.com), and am delighted to learn of your work. I’m certainly going to be subscribing to your feeds, and can easily see a variety of ways in which we might collaborate to mutual advantage.
But my initial inquiry is about Spciy Blogroll. I’ve got it prominently displayed in a sandbox (http://sandbox.popularlogistics.com/). I have one suggestion and one question. The suggestion is that in the installation instructions, you might want to point out that the plugin doesn’t create its own widget – but modifies the behavior of the existing “links” widget native to WordPress.
The question is – how does one alert readers that the blogroll is, in fact, “spicy” (so to speak). I’ve used a text widget above the blogroll as a crude workaround – but is there another way? Or does one rely on readers to stumble upon it? This is far superior to the default blogroll. In fact, I’d go so far as to say that it would be ideal in the core WP install AS the default blogroll. But it will work best if readers know it’s there.
Thanks in advance for taking the time to read this. Am looking forward to reading and learning from your excellent work.
    Jon

Hey thanks Jon for the powerful feedback. Thanks also for putting me in your blogroll.

Those are excellent points you make. I will edit the installation instructions in the next version release. I am reluctant to issue an update if all I change is the readme file.

I was wondering about that myself. What would make a person hover on your blogroll anyway…? I plan to post soon about the value of having a blogroll and in that I will be linking my blogroll to a number of regular blogs I visit and get inspiration from. In that post I will be encouraging others to install SB and blog about it to their readers. It will be a viral thing I hope.

As to some sort of active announcement on the blog, I am not sure what to do??? Any suggestions?

      Michael.
